Tamara Chasan

Ms. Chasan has been litigating on behalf of self-insured businesses, shopping center owners and management, residential property managers, trash removal and recycling companies, corporations, individuals, and insurance companies since 1995. Her practice spans a large segment of the civil litigation field and has included the defense of many significant damage cases arising from vehicle, construction, premises, professional liability and product liability claims. Ms. Chasan regularly defends commercial lenders and finance companies from Fair Debt Collection Practices Act claims. Further, she has represented numerous new and used car dealerships while defending fraud, Lemon Law and Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law claims.
Ms. Chasan has extensive trial experience in Pennsylvania federal and state courts, where she has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict and has handled scores of arbitrations. Countless other cases have been favorably resolved through her aggressive negotiation, and participation in either voluntary or court-mandated mediations and arbitrations.
Ms. Chasan prides herself on the level of personal attention that she gives her clients, and strives to provide all of her clients with cost-effective and practical litigation strategies. She also regularly serves as both an arbitrator and a judge pro tempore for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
Outside of her law practice, Tammy is member of the Board of Managers for the Female Hebrew Benevolent Society, and administers that organization’s Pharmacy Stipend Program. She is a past President of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Brandeis University Alumni Association, and served nationally as a past Executive Committee and Board Member of the Brandeis University Alumni Association. She is a current member of the Brandeis Alumni Admissions Counsel.
Ms. Chasan lives in the Mount Airy section of Philadelphia with her husband and daughter, a student at Germantown Friends School.
